I am not saying that he is guilty nor should he be guilty by simply being accused. My point is we should all have a sense of empathy. Empathy for a woman who is obviously in pain for one reason or another. Empathy for Kavanaugh if he is innocent. This is no way to conduct an investigation, this should have been a lesson from our past instead it's another us verse them, conservative vs. liberal, he said she said and etc. If an allegation of rape is made or violence in any manner, it should be investigated. But why air out this whole investigation publicly and destroy lives? Because politicians do not care about their constituents. The lives destroyed by this public us vs them circus, are considered "collateral damage." The lives destroyed by false allegations are considered, "collateral damage." The lives destroyed by sexual abuse are not to be used as tools to further a political agenda and certainly should never be considered collateral damage. Sexual abuse allegations of all kinds should never be constrained by the amount of time that has past since the occurrence. The lack of empathy towards all involved is astounding and deflating. I cannot believe we live in a culture where people are so blinded by hatred and anger that they are inspired to say the such disgusting comments. This is on both sides of the argument. You have let anger and ideology imprison your sense of fairness and morality. You all act so morally superior... What if your father was being accused? What is your mother was making the allegations? We should not accept an accusation as the truth nor a denial as a verdict. Shame on all of you. #kavanaugh #ford #Justice #onetruejudge @cnn @foxnews @abcnews @cbsnews @nbcnews @nypost @nytimesInstagram

Silent scream in the dark, a cigarette extinguished, a fun moon hangs on the ceiling with billions of stars. We are not alone, we are not alone. A birthday card, a broken pencil and a stamp on an envelope with no address. A deserted beach, a cape, an inlet to a deserted time. A phone rings, a letter delivered and a silent scream. A silent scream. A prayer, lost, betrayal of desires, her lips, her hair, a cigarette still lit yet fading, trees left alone, tire swing on the floor. Do you remember? Can you see us back then, hand in hand? Acting dialog, old City kisses and forbidden laughter. I made you laugh, I could always make you laugh. Whispers, singing to you from outside your window, I can still see your silhouette, long hair and the shape of you, as I sang "into my arms" to you from that swinging tire, the wind blowing cold, a bare tree and faded greens on the floor. A whisper, a song, a kiss, goodbye. #forever #whispers #one #doyourememberInstagram

Truth
Look around and don't be fooled, sometimes a smile is used as a mask to avoid truth from being exposed.
We hint at it but never truly reveal it. It might be transparent but the opposite can also be true. Social media dictates a thrilling life. I am blessed with so much. Sometimes this truth scares me and I feel like hiding. Sometimes I get upset about financial issues and then I look around at sudden departures and I feel ashamed. I have been dealing with this inner sadness my whole life and it's nothing for me or anyone to be ashamed of. I have overcome so much and I am able to be true to myself without panicking. I know I can handle the truth, it's the fiction inside that I need to express to exorcise those stories. Some people need more comfort, therapy or someone to listen to them. Look around and don't be fooled, sometimes a smile is used as a mask to avoid truth from being exposed. #bethere #depression is treatable #love #listen #see #startathome #twitterInstagram

Tony was the third generation Italian. His great grandparents were from Carolei, a small hilltop town in Italy. Tony didn’t know too much about his great grandparents or even his grandparents. They had all been dead for a while by the time Tony had turned 14 years old. His parents had recently divorced and his mother had moved him and his sister from their house in Brooklyn to her parents home in Marlboro, New Jersey. Tony was a heavy set kid and was dark skinned. In Brooklyn he had often been mistaken as a spanish kid. It never bothered him since his best friend, Bobby, was from Mexico City and they were often mistaken as brothers. Also, in Brooklyn, it never really mattered whether he was Spanish, Italian or Jewish; he was liked for who he was – Tony. If love is indeed infinite in one sense or another; is it possible that time and love are constant? That love surrounds us from a time and place that is no longer tangible in our minds – but in our hearts we reach out our hand to be held, we long for the embrace and we thirst for the kiss. So we keep on filling in the void in our hearts with literature, art and rock n roll, until the day will come when time and love are in tandem. When we will reach out our hand be held, when we will open our arms to embrace and we will thirst no more for the kiss… Love and time both wasted and so often taken for granted. Love and time both needed to sustain a sense of a life, a sense of a meaning in a world filled with tornadoes of falsehoods. https://ift.tt/1KZIyG4 @photo_lab_app #photo_lab_app #thursdaythoughts #love #tbt #timeInstagram

What are the words which can comfort us? Where are the signs to give us hope? We study your words and we soar, rising up to our home. There are devil's in the markets, devil's in the temples praising their prophet destroying world's one by one. Tell us, tell us now... Which way to heaven? Which way to the ultimate reawakening? Repentance seems useless in a world filled with hatred and death. Tell us, tell us now... Which way to heaven? Which way to forever? Too many broken hearts and way too many empty chairs at the tables. Songs of praise, glass of wine in your name... Awaken us, awaken the ones who have ascended... No more sadness Tell us, tell us how... #enoughisenough #Israel #nomorehatred #amalek #lifeInstagram

Baseball, like life, takes circuitous routes through history. Just when we think there is a player who can never be replaced, a new prospect comes up and becomes the face of a team. Every once in while, maybe even once in a generation; a baseball player comes around who seems to love the game and the team he plays for as much as the biggest fan. We watch him as a prospect first being called up to the Major Leagues. We watch him as he gets his first hit, his first homerun. We watch him with a certain pride when he makes the All-Star Game. We watch him make an acrobatic play that us fans can only dream of making. When he is on deck, slated to hit with the game on the line, we are happy because he is the guy you want up there. Then he gets to the batter's box, he looks down to his feet as he plants them in the dirt. Cocks his bat, swinging it like a wand above his head. He sees the pitch and we watch the ball sail over the right center field wall. He wins the game. Rounding the bases he is exuberant, fist in the air like a kid in a schoolyard game. Running with an extra step in his gait - he jumps onto home plate and his teammates swarm him… Read more link in bio #davidwright #mlb #mets #captain @mets @metsupdates @mets__reportInstagram

GQ: Are there questions that are better off not having answers? Fz: Every question has an answer. If you are too frightened or not ripe enough to search or see the answer, that's one thing. But to deny that each question has an answer is like saying that each effect has no cause. There are reasons for everything in life, sometimes we just don't want to face the truth that life can sometimes be great and sometimes simply suck. In either case, we move on and keep on doing what makes us breathe. GQ: what makes you breathe? FZ: there isn't just one thing, but if I needed to choose it would be love. In memory of all who perished from the acts of evil, we must never forget that evil must never be forgiven. Rationalizing these acts of pure evil by radicals of any people, in this case, sects of Muslims who kill dramatically in order to cause terror within the realms of freedom. In memory of the innocent victims we must eradicate the terrorists. In memory of the stolen lives, we must unite as people and stop the hatred among us. We may not agree on everything, but we must learn to agree to communicate respectfully. One of our commonalities is our desire to live in freedom, in peace and in a society which promotes democracy for all people. In memory of the lives that were stolen from us... Let us begin to heal #911 #freedom #nomorehatred #loveInstagram

First of all, it was Willy the window, may he rest in pieces, and I never assaulted the 80 year old math teacher. He kicked me in my private region and I pushed the two students who held me down. If Willy were around he would corroborate my story. Unfortunately a chair was thrown at him which cause him to explode into hundreds of shards of glass. This is from 1979,I refuse to do the math. #ahiezeryeshiva #classof1979 #willythewindow #mrsegal #halftongueInstagram

El Capitan
Tommy had hoped to experience a whole new world and to be inspired to write a story based on the old man. He had hoped to catch a lot of fish and to find a job in one of the local papers. Instead he became ensnared by the fishing and the smell of the early morning sea. It wasn't long before he was able to rent his own apartment on the other side of the marina.

Short Stories
It was 1961, he was 18 years old and he took a bus to Monterrey, California. He was a big John Steinbeck fan and he needed to see through someone else's eyes, while living in a whole different world. One day after his arrival, as he was sitting in an outside cafe with a notebook and a pen; an older man stopped and asked him if he knew how to handle a pole. “I can learn quickly.” He responded. “Where do you live?” As the old man lit his cigarette. “I am staying at the Inn with Mrs. Maris.” “You a city boy?” “Yes, but I trying to change.” He smiled. “I can only pay you based on what we haul in each day.” “That’s fine with me.” Read more, link in profile #shortstories #canneryrow #steinbeckInstagram
