Independence
But those fourth of July's...beach, barbecues and good times...at least that is what I choose to remember. We cannot change the past or truly remember exactly how things were. Our memory rewrites the stories over and over again. Embellishing the good times and perhaps being quietly haunted by the bad. Things weren’t always so simple for this boy, nor the boy inside this man; I still go through a lot of lonely days and feel an internal sadness even when I shouldn’t be feeling that way.

Day of Holocaust Remembrance 2019
The population of Los Angeles and Houston - every human being in those two cities - add up to less than 6 million people. Imagine if both of those cities were suddenly swallowed up and each person was killed?

Thanksgiving – Thank you all
Sports is a welcomed distraction from this messed up world. It brings strangers and families together to high five, argue and discuss strategy - second guessing each move and complaining profanely when a hitter cannot hit a 95 mile an hour slider or a 100 mile an hour fastball. As a baseball fan and an obvious Met's fan (if you know me) our lives revolve around baseball 365 days a year and sometimes even 366 days. The radio in the car, the video on the screens and the updates during every occasion from a wedding to a funeral. As a child calling sports phone listening to the quick update from wherever I was...

Water is Boiling – We have all Failed
The media is biased to the point of irritation and driven to increase the ratings have elevated the amount of hatred and anger to new levels. Everyone from late night talk show hosts, who claim to be the "good guys," to the pontificating radio talk show hosts who claim that everyone is wrong because they are "right," are to blame. They should be charged with inciting riots of hatred, bigotry and for ringing the division bells across the country

When Celebrities Die (2016)
All around the world there are constant terrorist attacks; towns and cities being destroyed and millions left homeless with countless dead or maimed. This upsets the general population and they call upon their leaders to “do something.” A charity is begun, a hashtag recycled and the general population, despite the ongoing murders, destruction and pillaging; feel as if they have made an impact with their dollars or their tweets.

Save Good Girls Revolt
Good Girls Revolt is the story the new school of women who knew they had the abilities to match or exceed the jobs done by the old school ruled by men. It's the story of the women who set the stage for the future girls who dreamed in their rooms or in school of a life in journalism, in construction, fire departments and any job that a man could do.

The Rocket’s Red Glare
We need a president who will make it a point to define the problem, gather the nations who demand freedom, demand liberty and believe in justice being served to the murderers, the terrorists and the evil doers. Right now, July 3, 2016, the enemy is easily defined as the Muslim Extremists.

The Power of Hatred
I would not compare Hitler to Trump - simply because I do not consider Trump a mass murderer. I consider him someone who has lived in the elitist society for so long that he has lost all sense of what normal society is. I consider him the basis for the quote, "He was born on third base but acts as if he hit a triple." Trump sees something he wants and will do whatever it takes, hurt anyone along the way to get that prize. "The ends justify the means," is his mantra.

Infinite Loss
It was not just six million - an infinite amount of lives will never fight for equality, cure the sick, feed the poor or create agriculture in a barren land. So, no, I will repeat it here. It was not just six million who perished - nor the lived they would have birthed. Think about the contributions that could have saved lives, stopped suffering and added light and understanding into a dark ignorant world.
